'We had a superb time. The weather was in late 20C to mid 30 c but with the occasional breeze. We did little but admire the view - very Constable like- with the occasional glass of Bergerac wine! 'We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at your charming cottage. What an idyll - super views, no neighbours but so close to the village. Spar was a godsend as was the Charcuterie. Everything worked well and we had a great time in the pool which was lovely and refreshing after a hot day. Having a BBQ with a glass of wine on the terrace admiring the view was wonderful. 'Our 2 young children loved the cows in the field opposite. The copse was a great playground for them. John and I preferred the tranquil views from the terrace and also from the copse with its romantic seat. John enjoyed his fishing at the lake below you whilst I took the children to the watersports at the Charente lakes. The cottage was lovely and met all our needs. The guest guide was excellent. We visited several of the places listed - the trip to Hennessey in Cognac was great. Thanks to Mike your caretaker /manager for his advice on places to eat. Good choices all of them, particularly the new one in L'Abre.'
