'We had a superb time. The weather was hot but with the occasional breeze. We admired the panoramic view of open fields in the foreground and trees in the distance. It was wonderful to chill out. 'Our 2 young children loved the cows in the field opposite. The garden was a great playground for them. John and I preferred the tranquil views from the terrace and also from the copse with its romantic seat. John enjoyed his fishing at the lake below your cottage whilst I took the children to the watersports at the Charente lakes. The cottage was lovely and met all our needs. The guest guide was excellent. We visited several of the places listed - the trip to Hennessey in Cognac was great. Thanks to Mike for his advice on places to eat. Good choices all of them.'
