  • Limoges. Within and around it are various porcelain factories with beautiful, quality items at reasonable prices.

  • Ora-sur-Glane is awesome and leaves one stunned. It is a monument of a village sacked by the Nazis in World War 2. The buildings remain unchanged from those times as do relics of rusty old cars and bikes. A walk in the silence is very moving, particularly with peoples' names above the battered doorframes. In addition, there is a modern, high tech museum showing the history of the event. It includes many pictures and old newsreels. We should never forget.
